2011 Colours!

They have been released 2011 wedding colours! I was so excited to see what colours would be the "In"colours for next year, there are so many options and some are colours I had never even thought of using for a wedding, but now I am racking my brains to come up with some Fabulous combinations for a truely unique wedding! Here is a little sneak peak of what we can expect to see a lot of next year! I love them all but my absolute favs are enchanted picnic and shadowy shores!

“Archaic Garden” – The range is whitened, stony, mineral or delicately fruity. The softness of faded, evanescent, light and serious colors.
“Underwater Variation” – The range delves into the blue, and extends to an aqua green. Sea anemone pink is enhanced by inky blues and purples. Navy and brown darken the landscape. White soap bubbles refresh the saturated atmosphere.
“Tropical Dramaturgy” – The range is solar, incandescent, spicy and suffocating. Yellow singing at the top of its voice, uninhibited parrot green, the orange of Tibetan monks, the entire spectrum of reds from purple to salmon pink. Bushy brown, deep blue.
“Enchanted Picnic” – The range sets your teeth on edge. The neon colors are whitened. Jelly pink is transparent, the pastels are over-bright. The brights are on fire, tempered by a reasonable grey and a measured beige.
“Shadowy Shores” – The range is tinged with vegetal colors. Bathed in red, boat hull; dark navy, hut; strong green, canvas. Or lightened colors, bleached by the salt, faded by the sun and the sea.

I LOVE autumn!

Being my ocd self when it comes to wedding planning, before I even had a boyfriend I had planned my wedding colours for each and every season. My favourite colour scheme was my autumnal one. Browns, oranges, reds and golds I thought would make a fabulous rich and exquisite look! Here are some of my favourite looks!
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it! I cannot wait to plan my first autumn wedding!

I can't help myself.....

How amazing are these? They look fabulous and would make an amazing cupcake tower instead of a cake (or as well as!- I don’t think you can EVER have too much cake!) Heidi makes the most exquisite looking cakes and everyone is talking about how FABULOUS they taste!

They could even be given as mother of the bride/groom gifts as a change from flowers!
Personally I could eat cupcakes ALL day ( especially chocolate cupcakes or red velvet or strawberry or who am I kidding any flavour!)
Look here on her facebook page to see all the cuppy cakes she has designed! My idea of heaven……..good job I am making red velvets for Halloween tomorrow I am seriously craving cupcakes NOW!

The Wedding House....

I hate it! This show is a complete joke! Yes its nice to have personalised weddings and have a theme and decor that is totally you BUT surely there is taking it too far and turning marriage into a massive joke?! Plus where is the reception? Just my opinion but there we go! Anyway sorry for the little hiatus hubby was on holiday for work so we took a little staycation! Am off to the local wedding fayre on Sunday so we shall see any new ideas I can find!

A rose by any other name...

…..is still a rose! It doesn’t have to be roses, let your bouquet reflect YOUR personality. It seems like too many brides let the florist tell them what they “can” have! What you need to remember is there isn’t anything you can’t have! The only restrictions can be the season and whether the flowers you want are available. Using fruits, sticks, pearls, diamonds, feathers can all add another dimension to your bouquet or centerpieces and can help keep costs down. After all a lime is a lot cheaper than a lily! I’ve been looking around for some “original” masterpieces and here are some of my favourites!
